Privacy Policy

Most of this website works without collecting any personal information about you. We collect information in three situations:

• If you email us. The email link on this site opens your own email app. When you send a message, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as your name and details about your pet.
• If you book an appointment. Bookings are made on a separate booking platform run by another company. Any details you enter there are held by that provider under its own privacy policy, not by this website.
• As you browse. When analytics is enabled, we use a website analytics service to see how the site is used. It records information such as your general location, device and browser, the pages you open, and how you reached the site, and it stores cookies on your device. We use it only as grouped statistics that do not identify you personally.

We use the information above to:

• reply to your enquiries and arrange grooming appointments;
• run and improve this website;
• see which parts of the site visitors find useful.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

When analytics is enabled, this website uses analytics cookies to measure how the site is used, and a short notice asks you to acknowledge them. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and the site will still work. We do not use advertising cookies.

Some parts of the site depend on other companies, each with its own privacy policy:

• a booking platform that handles appointments;
• an analytics service that measures site usage;
• a mapping service that shows our location;
• the social media platforms our profile links point to.

When you follow a link to one of these external sites, their privacy policy covers anything you share there.

Enquiry emails stay in our email account. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reason you gave it, and we take reasonable care to keep it safe. Information held by the companies listed above is covered by their own policies.

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a copy, and ask us to correct it. Email us to make a request. If our response does not satisfy you, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when we last changed it.
